Went to El Palenque (this fabulous Mexican restaurant in KVegas) for birthday dinner. Joined by some friends and co-workers. Consumed mass quantities of nachos con queso, guzzled sweet tea, noshed on arroz con pollo. Good grubbage.

After said meal, received gifts. Gift certificate for a much-needed facial, balloon, then a card from the fiance. Chunky key came spilling out of card, attached to a keyless entry remote. Blue, the Jeep, officially entered my life.

Blue, the Jeep, is a midnight-blue 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Began its life as a "program car," delivering 20,397 quality miles to some lucky Jeep suit before becoming my best birthday present ever. Beige leather interior, 4x4, choice sound system, sunroof, roof rack (hey...Blue's got a nice rack!), and a bunch of other cute little features that I'm slowly learning as we become more and more acquainted.

Blue delivers a sweet ride. Comfortable yet rugged, sensitive yet tough, Blue is a Jeep to be reckoned with.

This shall be Blue's tale.
